Suction Mount Shower Caddy
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Details
A suction mount shower caddy sticks to the wall with suction cups instead of adhesive strips or screws. That makes it the easiest kind to move, take down for cleaning and take with you when you leave a rental. It also depends on one thing more than any other: the wall surface. Every listing below says so in its own words, and several print the same warning in bold.
We read the Amazon listings for six suction-mount caddies on 2026-10-18 and compared only what they say: surface limits, stated load, size, material and how you lock the cup. We did not test any of them. Where two numbers in one listing disagree, we show both.
Quick answer
- Smooth tile or glass, a family of bottles: JOTPE 2-pack. Two stainless shelves (13 x 4.1 x 3.1 in each) and a stated 40 lb hold.
- Two small shelves and razor hooks: TAILI 2-pack, with a lower stated limit of 22 lb per organizer.
- Aluminum shelves with a towel bar: Voldra 2-pack, with a stated 40 lb per suction cup.
- A single cheap-to-replace plastic basket: LEVERLOC (22 lb, 10.8 x 3.7 x 2.9 in).
- Light loads only, stainless look: TESOT, listed at 12 lb.
- Whole-shower set with a hook rail and soap holder: KEGII 4-piece, which lists no load limit.
If your shower wall is textured, painted, has grout lines under every spot you would use, or is fiberglass with a dull finish, read the surface section before you buy any of them.

What decides whether suction works
The wall surface
Every listing restricts where the cup will hold. JOTPE names smooth non-porous surfaces such as tile, glass, mirrors, polished metal, stainless steel and acrylic, and says to avoid painted walls, drywall, wood, wallpaper and uneven or cracked surfaces. LEVERLOC is stricter: only uncracked ceramic tile, glass, mirror, polished metal, stainless steel and acrylic, and never on a grout line. TESOT adds plastic panels and fine-grained granite and warns off unfinished marble and natural stone. TAILI lists metal, glass, tile, stainless steel and acrylic and excludes uneven tiles, textured plate, unfinished marble, wallpaper and painted wall. KEGII says smooth non-porous tile, glass, marble or metal.
The lesson: large flat tiles or a glass door are the target. Small mosaic tile, textured tile and most molded fiberglass or plastic shower walls are not what these listings describe. One TAILI buyer wrote that the cups would not stick to an RV shower’s plastic wall at all, which matches the listing’s own warning.
The listing’s own test
JOTPE, TAILI, LEVERLOC and TESOT all give the same fallback if the cup will not hold on first install: wash the cup, dry it with a hair dryer, and test it on a smooth pane of glass. If it holds there, the wall is the problem, so move the caddy to another spot. That is worth doing before you load a shelf, not after.
Location on the wall
The cups need a flat patch the size of the cup without a grout line crossing it. Mark the spot, hold the shelf up, and look for grout lines at both cup positions. Tiles that look flat can still have a slight bevel at the edge; keep the cup centered on a tile face.
Load: what the numbers mean
The stated limits differ a lot: 40 lb (JOTPE), 40 lb per suction cup (Voldra), 22 lb (TAILI, LEVERLOC), 12 lb (TESOT), nothing stated (KEGII). TAILI’s title says “heavy duty” while the bullet gives 22 lb, so read the bullet, not the title. JOTPE’s own page also mentions a single-shelf version of its caddy at 22 lb, so the 40 lb figure belongs to the 2-pack as listed.
Worked example (estimate): a 33.8 fl oz bottle of a water-like liquid weighs roughly 2.2 lb, so a shelf holding two of those plus a 16 oz conditioner (about 1 lb) is around 5.4 lb before the shelf itself. That is well inside 12 lb and far inside 40 lb, but five or six 33.8 oz bottles would be around 11 to 13 lb, which is at or past the TESOT figure. Treat our weights as an estimate, not a measured value, and keep real loads well under the listed limit because water, soap and a bump from a shower pump all add stress.
Cup type and re-sticking
JOTPE, TAILI and LEVERLOC name TPE cups, KEGII describes an octopus-inspired suction layer, and Voldra and TESOT do not name the cup material. JOTPE adds a seller claim of 200 reinstalls with 99.99% recovery, which is a manufacturer figure and not something we checked. The practical point is that you can lift and re-stick a suction cup, and you cannot do that with adhesive strips. Clean the cup and wall before every re-stick.
1. JOTPE 2-pack suction shower shelves
Listing checked 2026-10-18: two stainless shelves, each 13 x 4.1 x 3.1 in, and four suction hooks; the seller says each shelf holds up to 12 bottles and the set holds up to 40 lb; ventilated base with drain holes; user manual and an 18-month warranty are included; other set sizes (1 shelf plus soap dish, 2 shelves plus soap dishes, 5 pack) are also offered.
Good: the largest shelf and the longest warranty stated in this group, plus a clear list of surfaces to use and avoid.
Watch out: the surface list excludes grout, so the cups need tile faces. Buyer comments on the page are mixed on how long the cups stay up. Some report them holding for months, others report the shelf coming off within days.
Best for: a shared bathroom with large flat tile. Skip if: your wall is textured or painted.

2. TAILI 2-pack suction cup shower caddy
Listing checked 2026-10-18: two metal baskets and two razor hooks in a stainless steel build with TPE suction cups; each organizer on two cups is stated at up to 22 lb; the basket can be taken off the cups for cleaning; offered in black, silver and white, and as single baskets and sets.
Good: removable baskets, and a hair-dryer-and-glass fallback test described in the listing.
Watch out: shelf dimensions are not in the bullets. The title says “heavy duty” while the load is 22 lb. Comments on the page are polarized: some say the cups would not let go once placed, others say a basket came down at night.
Best for: bottles of ordinary size on flat tile. Skip if: you need stated dimensions before ordering.

3. Voldra 2-pack aluminum suction shelves
Listing checked 2026-10-18: two aluminum baskets (the description gives 12.8 x 5.3 x 2.56 in for one layer), four detachable hooks, a towel bar and several plastic hooks; the listing says space aluminum with an anti-oxidation treatment; each suction cup is stated at 40 lb; the cup is described as having a larger surface and raised height; the seller promises a reply within 12 hours; for smooth surfaces like tile, marble and glass.
Good: includes a towel bar, so it replaces a hook or two, and gives clear dimensions.
Watch out: “40 pounds per suction cup” is the seller’s claim; the listing does not say how many cups there are per shelf. Most comments on the page are positive, and at least one buyer reports a shelf coming off after a couple of days.
Best for: people who want a shelf plus a towel bar in one install. Skip if: you only need a basket.

4. LEVERLOC single plastic suction basket
Listing checked 2026-10-18: one white plastic basket, 10.8 x 3.7 x 2.9 in, with a TPE suction cup and an ABS hook; stated hold of 10 kg (22 lb); drain holes and a -6 degree sloped bottom; the cup is stated to work from -4 F to 174 F by the seller; only uncracked ceramic tile, glass, mirror, polished metal, stainless steel or acrylic.
Good: low cost per basket and removable, so it is the easiest to swap or retire.
Watch out: buyer comments on the page are mixed: some call it sturdy, and Amazon’s summary of them mentions a basket breaking within months. The listing warns not to place it on a grout line. It is one basket, not a pair.
Best for: a single-shelf bathroom, a kid’s reachable spot or a camper. Skip if: you plan to put a full 33 oz bottle in it.

5. TESOT stainless suction caddy
Listing checked 2026-10-18: one 304 stainless basket, 11.5 x 4.3 x 3.8 in overall; supports up to 12 lb and the listing says do not exceed it; removable hooks; two suction cups with a buckle lock; for polished tile, stainless steel, glass, mirrors, plastic panels and fine-grained granite, not grout lines or porous surfaces.
Good: honest about being “more compact than standard”, and it names more surface types than the others.
Watch out: the load is the lowest here. One buyer wrote that the silver cup hangers are plastic with a steel pin that rusted; the listing describes the basket as 304 stainless and does not describe the cup parts, so the claim is untested.
Best for: light items: a few small bottles, a razor, a sponge. Skip if: you want a big family shelf.

6. KEGII 4-piece twist-lock suction set
Listing checked 2026-10-18: two large baskets with hooks, one hook rail and one soap holder; large basket 11.5 x 5.0 x 3.74 in, small basket 11.3 x 4.49 x 3.62 in, rail 7.87 x 1.14 x 1.54 in, soap holder 7.21 x 3.86 x 1.38 in; stainless steel with a rust-resistant coating; twist-to-lock cups with an enhanced suction layer that the listing says is not adhesive; smooth non-porous surfaces such as tile, glass, marble or metal.
Good: the most complete set, with every piece measured.
Watch out: no weight limit is stated in the text I read. The page’s older buyer comments mention an adhesive, which does not match this twist-lock set, so check the set name when you order. Other comments say a piece would not stay up.
Best for: an organized small shower where each person gets a shelf. Skip if: you need a stated load.

Suction or adhesive? What the listings say
| Suction cup (the six above) | Adhesive (listings we opened for other posts) | |
|---|---|---|
| Remove and re-stick | Yes: the cups are described as removable and reusable | YASONIC’s adhesive caddy says a hair dryer helps remove the adhesive; the strip is not described as reusable |
| Wall surfaces | Smooth, non-porous only; no grout lines | YASONIC’s adhesive caddy lists tile, marble, tempered glass, wood walls and solid metal |
| Wait before loading | JOTPE and TAILI say none | Lysam’s adhesive bin says to wait 24 hours |
Different makers set different rules, so read the listing of whichever adhesive caddy you consider.
Mistakes to avoid
- Skipping the cleaning step. Every listing says to clean and dry the wall. Dish soap film or shower spray under the cup can break the seal.
- Placing a cup on a grout line. Several listings say never to.
- Loading the shelf at once. JOTPE and TAILI describe instant installs, yet a shelf coming down at night shows up in buyer comments on several of these pages. Add weight in stages and recheck after the first shower. A KEGII buyer also refers to a recommended 24-hour wait that the listing text I read does not mention, so check the manual.
- Using it in a textured or RV shower. Use a different mounting style.
- Trusting the title’s load word. Look for a pound figure in the bullets.
Which one should you buy
Pick by wall first, load second. Flat large tile or glass: JOTPE for capacity, TAILI or Voldra if you want two shelves, KEGII for a full set. Light needs and a lower budget: LEVERLOC or TESOT, but keep them under 22 lb and 12 lb. If the wall is textured, painted or grouted at every usable spot, skip suction and read our guides on adhesive and hanging racks instead.
Frequently asked questions
Will a suction mount shower caddy stick to textured tile?
These listings say no. JOTPE, LEVERLOC, TESOT and TAILI each restrict use to smooth, non-porous surfaces and warn against grout lines and textured plate.
How long can a suction shower caddy stay up?
No listing here gives a time. Buyer comments range from days to months. Plan to check the seal each week and press the cup again if it feels loose.
What can I do if the cup will not stick on first install?
Four of the listings give the same steps: wash the suction cup, dry it with a hair dryer, test it on smooth glass, and if it holds there, move the caddy to a different part of the wall.
Is it safe to load a suction caddy to the listed weight?
The listed numbers are the seller’s. The listings do not describe independent testing. Keep your load well below the stated figure and move heavy bottles lower or to a different rack.
Can I use a suction caddy in an RV shower?
One TAILI buyer reported that the cups would not stick to the plastic walls of an RV shower. Several listings advertise RV use, but they still restrict surfaces to smooth, non-porous ones.
Suction or hanging: which is easier to move?
Both are no-drill. A hanging rack moves with the shower arm, while a suction shelf can be placed anywhere the wall allows. See our hanging caddy guides for the other approach.
