Shoppers comparing the best besaquo 9 functions high pressure handheld shower with other handheld heads usually ask three things: how much water it uses, what the spray settings do, and whether it will fit their shower arm. This roundup covers the BESAQUO head and 11 others. For each one we list only what the product listing states: flow rate where it is given, spray settings as the listing names them, hose length, included parts and any filter claims. The sources we opened do not rank spray effect, so this page does not put any head first.

Quick answer

  • The BESAQUO listing states a flow rate of 1.8 gallons per minute (gpm). The EPA says standard showerheads use 2.5 gpm and that WaterSense labeled models must use no more than 2.0 gpm. The BESAQUO listing does not say it carries a WaterSense label.
  • The BESAQUO listing names nine functions, including Eco Spray, Massage, Mist, Rain, Pause and Power Wash. The sources we opened do not say which setting feels strongest.
  • A handheld head cannot add water pressure that your home plumbing does not supply. The BESAQUO listing says the head “helps boost water pressure” in low pressure conditions. The sources we opened do not confirm that effect.
  • Only some listings in this group mention a filter, and none of them says a shower filter softens hard water.
  • Check your shower arm thread and hose fit before you buy. The sources we opened do not cover thread sizes.

How we chose

We started with 12 handheld and combo shower head listings. The listing copy, bullets and spec tables were recorded in our research file on 2026-10-23. We kept handheld heads and handheld combos whose listings give enough detail to describe the product. We compared each listing on the same five points: listed flow rate, listed spray settings, hose length, included parts, and any filter wording, quoted in the listing’s own terms.

This list is not a ranking. We did not order the heads by any sales figure or customer feedback, and this page uses no sales or customer-feedback data. Where a listing’s bullets and spec table disagree, we show both figures. Where a listing says nothing about a point, we say so instead of filling the gap.

What the flow numbers mean

Flow rate is the number most people compare first, so it helps to start with the reference points the sources give. The EPA says that standard showerheads use 2.5 gallons of water per minute (gpm). The same EPA page says that water-saving heads that earn the WaterSense label “must demonstrate that they use no more than 2.0 gpm.” It also says WaterSense labeled showerheads are independently certified against performance requirements, including spray force and spray coverage.

Purdue Extension gives the same 2.5 gpm figure for new showerheads: they are required to use 2.5 gallons per minute or less when wide open. Purdue also says that installing a low-flow showerhead can save as much as 10 gallons of water during each five-minute shower. That is a general figure from the extension publication, not a figure for any product in this list.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s home water efficiency fact sheet says that showerheads made before 1995 use 50% more water than new models. It also says that replacing older heads with models rated at 2.0 gpm can cut your water usage for showers in half. The DOE fact sheet describes aerating showerheads, which mix air with water to form a misty spray, and streamline showerheads, which form individual streams of water. For the purchasing guidance on the DOE Federal Energy Management Program site, the WaterSense showerhead specification is version 1.1, which went into effect in July 2018.

For this reason, a head rated at 1.8 gpm or 1.75 gpm sits below the 2.5 gpm figure for standard heads, and a head listed at 2.5 gpm sits at it. Neither figure tells you how the spray will feel. If you want to lower your water use, our guide to water-efficient hand held shower heads covers that question in more depth, and our post on high pressure shower heads that save water looks at the same trade-off.

Before you buy: install and fit

Most of the listings in this group describe tool-free or hand-tight installation. The JDO and Magichome listings both say to hand-tighten the connections, and the HOPOPRO listing says installation takes about a minute with no tools. Several heads list a G1/2 connection thread. The sources we opened do not cover thread standards, so this page does not state whether any head will fit your arm. Compare the thread on your current arm with the listing, and follow the maker’s instructions for tape and washers.

Shut off the water before you change a head, and check the new connection for leaks once the water is back on. If the arm leaks after you tighten it, do not keep forcing it. Stop and check the parts or call a licensed plumber. This post covers only the head and hose, not the plumbing behind the wall.

The 12 heads, one by one

Each entry lists what the listing states. Spray settings are named as the listing names them. The sources we opened do not rank spray effect, so the order below is the order in our research file, not a ranking.

BESAQUO 9 Functions High Pressure Handheld Shower Head with Power Wash

  • Brand and model: BESAQUO, model NY102022SH. Premium chrome finish, ABS material.
  • Flow rate: 1.8 gallons per minute, per the spec table.
  • Spray settings the listing names: Eco Spray, Massage, Mist and Rain, with nine functions in total. The bullets also name a Pause mode for soaping or shaving and a Power Wash mode.
  • Hose and bracket: a 6 ft stainless steel hose per the bullets, though the spec table says 6.5 feet. The bracket is an adjustable brass joint.
  • Included per the listing: a flow regulator, Teflon tape, and a user manual.
  • Listing claims: “helps boost water pressure” in low pressure conditions, 63 silicone nozzles, a 5.04-inch spray panel, and five-year service support.

The listing does not state a thread size, a WaterSense label or a filter. It includes a flow regulator, and this post does not cover changing it. Buyers who want a fixed head as well as a handheld should check the included parts first. View on Amazon

Moen Hydro Energetix High Pressure Shower Head with Handheld Sprayer

  • Model 200H0SRN, spot-resist brushed nickel finish, 1.7 pounds, metal and plastic construction.
  • Flow rate: 1.75 gpm (6.65 L/min) maximum, per the spec table.
  • Spray settings: the title says eight handheld spray settings, the spec table says seven, and the bullets name pause, intensify, downpour and massage. We show both counts because the listing disagrees with itself.
  • Hose and parts: a 60-inch hose, a bracket and the handshower. The listing says the head mounts to the wall with an easy install.
  • Listing claims: it “Meets EPA WaterSense criteria,” says all spray settings deliver “a 40% increase in force,” and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

The WaterSense claim is the one we can check against the EPA page: a WaterSense label means no more than 2.0 gpm, and the listed 1.75 gpm is below that. The 40% force figure is the listing’s own claim. None of the sources we opened supports it, so we do not repeat it as fact. View on Amazon

egretshower High Pressure Handheld and Rain 3-Way Shower Head Combo, Brushed Nickel

  • Model SB2420J731BN, brushed nickel finish, 4 pounds, 27 by 6 inches overall per the spec table.
  • Two heads: a handheld with 10 settings and a fixed head with 9 settings. The listing says they can be used separately or together, with a rotating handle on the shower panel to switch modes.
  • Modes the listing names: Rain, Massage, Misty, Sweep and combination modes. The listing headline says “82 showering spray modes.” We do not count or rank them.
  • Included: a drill-free stainless steel slide bar, a 25.75-inch adjustable slide bar, a 6-inch shower arm with flange, a 5-foot stainless hose, Teflon tape and a washer.
  • Power jet: the listing says a button on the back of the head switches to a “super power jet mode” for cleaning tubs, tiles and toilets, and for pets.

No flow figure appears in this listing. It also disagrees with itself on material: the spec table says brass, polycarbonate and stainless steel, while the bullets describe ABS. If you want a slide bar on this type of combo, our post on handheld shower heads on a slide bar covers that setup. View on Amazon

BRIGHT SHOWERS Rain Shower System with Handheld, Chrome

  • Model BAS2611-91, chrome finish, 19 by 15 inches overall per the spec table.
  • Flow rate: 2.5 gpm per the spec table. That matches the figure the EPA gives for standard showerheads, and the listing does not say it carries a WaterSense label.
  • Heads: an overhead rain head and a handheld. The bullets say the handheld has nine spray modes, and the spec table lists Rain, Mist, Massage and Full Body.
  • Power Wash: the listing says a back button activates a high-pressure Power Wash mode for soap scum and grime.
  • Arm, bar and hose: a two-section brass extension arm of 16.5 inches, a 13-inch adjustable slide bar, a 69-inch stainless hose, and a front-control 3-way diverter that switches between rain, handheld or both.

The listing says the system installs in minutes with no tools or drilling, and uses standard US connections. It does not state a thread size. View on Amazon

JDO High-Pressure 6-Setting Handheld Shower Head, 4.7 Inch, Chrome

  • Model AM5H501CP, polished chrome finish, ABS material, 1.5 pounds, 10 by 4.7 inches per the spec table.

  • Listing claims: 54 anti-clog nozzles and “Upgraded Air-Induction Technology for High Pressure.”
  • Included: anti-leak Teflon tape, an extra rubber washer, the handheld, a shower arm mount and the hose. The listing says the connection thread is G1/2 and that it is hand-tightened.

Flow is not given anywhere in this listing. View on Amazon

MakeFit Filtered Shower Head, Matte Black, 6 Modes

  • Model S6526MB, matte black finish, square panel per the spec table, 10.62 by 5.5 inches.
  • Flow rate: 1.8 GPM per the spec table.
  • Settings the listing names: Rain, Mist, Massage and Full Body, with six modes in total. A single thumb switch changes between modes.
  • Filter: the head has pre-installed mineral beads. The listing says the beads “effectively remove” chlorine, fluoride and heavy metals. The listing does not name a certifying body or standard for that claim, and it does not state a replacement schedule.
  • Included: a 59-inch hose, an adjustable shower arm bracket, the handheld, the pre-installed beads, Teflon tape and an extra rubber washer.

The listing says the threads are G1/2. A filter like this one does not soften hard water. The listing describes removing impurities, not softening. View on Amazon

HOPOPRO 6-Mode High Pressure Handheld Shower Head Set, Chrome

  • Model HS6700CP, luxury chrome finish, 10.16 by 5.51 inches per the spec table.

  • Included: a 59.1-inch stainless steel hose, Teflon tape, a bracket with an angle-adjustable brass ball joint, the hand shower head and two rubber washers.
  • Listing claims: “unique water pressure enhancement technology” and a G1/2 connection thread. The listing says installation takes about a minute without tools.

The sources we opened do not say what the pressure enhancement technology changes inside the head. The listing does not state the head’s weight. If you need a longer hose with a holder, our post on hand held shower head extension hoses covers that part of the setup. View on Amazon

SR SUN RISE Filtered Shower Head with Handheld, 9 Spray Modes, Bright Silver

  • Model ARB011-GG, brushed bright silver finish, ABS material, 1.8 pounds, 12 by 2 inches per the spec table.
  • Flow rate: 1.75 GPM per the spec table.
  • Settings the listing names: Full Rain, Rain, Powerful Rain, Mist and Massage, Massage, Mist, Rain and Massage, Wide Fan and Pause. Flipping the head activates Power Wash.
  • Filter: the listing says its multi-stage media, which includes KDF and maifanstone, helps reduce chlorine and certain impurities. The bullets say to replace the cartridge every 3 to 6 months, depending on water quality and use.
  • Hose and warranty: a 71-inch stainless steel hose and a five-year limited warranty, per the listing.
  • Included: the spec table lists only the filtered shower head. The bullets say a bracket, hose, Teflon tape and washers are also included. We show both because the listing disagrees with itself.

The title uses the words “water softener.” A shower filter does not soften hard water, and the bullets describe reducing chlorine and certain impurities, not softening. View on Amazon

  • Included: the listing includes only the handheld shower head. It does not list a hose or bracket.
  • Listing claims: a detachable head with a “Detachable Anti Blocking Hole Design” and a standard size that needs no installation tools.

Because no hose or holder is included, check that your setup has one before you buy. The listing does not state a hose length. View on Amazon

  • Hose and bracket: a 79-inch stainless steel hose and a rotatable mount arm. Included: an extra hose gasket, FAQ guidance and a customer service card.

  • Listing claims: “Against Weak Pressure” and a “Powerful Spray” against low pressure water pipes. The sources we opened do not confirm these.

The spec table gives no thread size. The bullets say the fittings are solid brass. View on Amazon

  • Model 16936, polished chrome finish, ABS material, 10.8 by 5.18 inches per the spec table, with a 59-inch hose.

Some wording in the title and bullets goes beyond what the sources we opened support, so this post leaves that wording out. View on Amazon

Magichome Shower Head with Handheld, 10 Spray Modes, Detachable Chrome

  • Settings the listing names: rain, massage, mist, spray, mixed and a water-saving pause mode. The listing says a slide-and-turn control changes modes.
  • Nozzles: the listing says 90 silicone nozzles and 100 precision steel plate outlets. It gives no flow rate.
  • Connection: the listing says the universal G1/2 thread fits standard shower arms and extenders, and that you hand-tighten the connections.
  • Install note: the listing says to remove the protective plastic covers from both ends of the hose before installation.

The title says chrome, while the spec table says brushed nickel silver, so check the finish when the box arrives. The listing does not state a flow rate, included parts or weight. View on Amazon

What we could not verify: what the sources do not say

  • The sources we opened do not rank spray settings, and they do not say which setting feels strongest in any of these heads.
  • No flow rate is listed for egretshower, JDO, Magichome or Rainnook (Rainnook gives 1.8 GPM only in its title). The sources we opened do not cover the flow of any specific head in this group, so the listed figures are the listing’s own.
  • No opened source confirms the BESAQUO “helps boost water pressure” wording, the Moen “40% increase in force” figure, or the HO2ME “Against Weak Pressure” wording.
  • No opened source covers thread standards. Several listings say G1/2. This post does not state whether any of them is NPT or fits your arm.
  • No opened source confirms the filter claims made in the MakeFit, SR SUN RISE or Rainnook listings. None of the filter listings in our file names a certifying body or standard.
  • Several listings disagree with themselves. The BESAQUO hose is 6 ft in the bullets and 6.5 feet in the spec table. The Moen setting count is eight in the title and seven in the spec table. The egretshower material differs between the spec table and the bullets. The Magichome finish differs between the title and the spec table. The SR SUN RISE and Rainnook included parts differ between the spec table and the bullets.
  • The listings do not give warranty terms beyond their own wording, and we did not check them against the maker.

FAQ

Will the BESAQUO 9 function head fix low water pressure?

No head can add pressure your home does not supply. The BESAQUO listing says the head “helps boost water pressure” in low pressure conditions, but the sources we opened do not confirm that effect. If your flow is low, check the supply and the fixture before you assume a new head will solve it.

How many gallons per minute does the BESAQUO head use?

The spec table lists 1.8 gallons per minute. The EPA says standard showerheads use 2.5 gpm, and that WaterSense labeled models must use no more than 2.0 gpm. The BESAQUO listing does not say it has a WaterSense label.

Does the BESAQUO head have a filter?

The BESAQUO listing bullets we have do not describe a filter stage. Its listed features are spray settings, a Power Wash mode and a flow regulator.

Does a shower filter soften hard water?

No. A shower filter does not soften hard water. Some listings in this group use the word “softener” or describe removing minerals, but the sources we opened do not show that a shower filter softens water.

Will the head fit my shower arm?

Several listings say G1/2 threads. The sources we opened do not cover thread sizes, so check the thread on your arm and follow the maker’s instructions for tape and washers before you tighten anything.

Do I need a plumber to install one of these?

Most listings describe hand-tight, tool-free installation. This post covers only the head and hose. If the arm leaks after you tighten it, stop and check the parts, or call a licensed plumber.

Bottom line

Choose by the facts you can check: the flow rate the listing states, the hose length, the parts included and whether you want a filter. The BESAQUO head is listed at 1.8 gpm with a 6-foot hose and nine functions. The listing does not show a WaterSense label, and the sources we opened do not say which spray setting works best.
